Dr. Betül Türel Erbay holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University and completed her master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Polymer Science and Technology at Istanbul Technical University.

She began her career at Huhtamaki in 2007, where she held various positions in printing, business development, R&D center, and sustainability. She most recently served as Global Head of Product Sustainability for the company’s Flexible Packaging segment, where she was responsible for developing product sustainability strategies, monitoring international regulations, and venturing and managing sustainability projects with multinational customers.

Since March 2025, Dr. Erbay has been serving as Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer at Korozo Group, where she leads the company’s strategies on innovation, product sustainability, circular economy, and ESG.
